Seriously though (but not too seriously), I appreciate how the insights you share in this article are contextualized and deepened by that fact that you're a 4th generation Bay Area creative. And I loved seeing the "puppy-slug" Golden Gate Bridge image you included – such an epic example of the weirdness of AI. I was at Autodesk when the first images were emerging from Deep Dream, and I had the sense that we were on the precipice of something big (which Midjourney & co. brilliantly productized).
One influential thought leader who I imagine would resonate with and could potentially support the vision you share here is the "Dismal Optimist," Jaron Lanier. Especially when you add Data Dignity and transparency to the equation (so that when AI says, "And we'll all be makin' love on a hillside in the rain / If the inside is on the outside, there's no pain" we'll be able to peer into the algorithm and find that it sourced The Sons Of Chaplain's album "Loosen Up Naturally" to create that luscious weirdness).
Have you thought of sharing this with the Prime Unifying Scientist? [You know I'll add all my enthusiastic support.]
How Weird? ;)
